Unbuttoning Sustainability

I am a journalist with a background in environmental science from Pennsylvania who is living and going to school in Maine. I have learned about the impact of the fashion industry on the environment. I have grown up around sewing and other crafts such as embroidery and crochet. I do love fashion and styling and finding ways to embrace trends into my own personal style. My goal with this blog is to get people to think about the clothes they wear and where is comes from. I also want people to learn skills that are helpful to being more sustainable with fashion. This blog is not meant to shame or make anyone feel like they are not doing enough, but rather show ways that people can be more conscious of their choices and the smaller steps they can take to be more sustainable with their fashion.
